7 Fun Ways to Keep Your Relationship Romance Burning Bright

by | August 4, 2021 | Time 4 mins

If you want to show your romance but you aren’t into inviting Daddy4Twinks from Grindr for a threesome, we got you covered. We have rounded up a list of romantic ideas for you that will leave your partner enamoured and steamy. These aren’t your standard romance ideas. Everyone knows that we can get gifts or go on surprise dates. These recommendations for gay couples are romantic, fun and will keep your lover wanting more surprises for days to come!

1. Door Dash Candles

Yeah, it sounds a bit lame at first – but hear us out. Everyone loves candles. You can make this a fun romantic gift by leaving them nicely wrapped in front of your BAE’s door, knocking, then running off and watching their face as they find the gift. You can make this gift more lovely by choosing their favorite scent. If you don’t know what that is, a few scents that are romantic are vanilla, doughnuts or peppermint. The most romantic aspect is that you can use it for a Netflix and chill session while watching a movie, cuddling under a cozy blanket, and eating a bowl of popcorn. Super cute!

2. Wine and Paint Night

You don’t have to pay to go to a wine and paint night. Instead, grab you lovers favorite bottle of wine, or for the bougee gays – le champagne, the paint, and spend a night in drinking and painting each other. The act of looking closely at each other’s fine details and painting them exemplifies the beauty you see in your partner. Painting portraits forms a bond like no other, but of course, we need the wine too.

3. Super-Secret Sex Toy Hunt

Anything sex related romantic. When presented with a new toy, you know it’s going to be a great night. To make this fun and romantic, try lighting the door dash candle you left your lover for ambience. Make it more fun by placing chocolates, a card, and the new toy in the bedroom. Then blindfold them and guide them as they look for the items. Once they find the toy, you can enjoy this with the chocolates through some foreplay before the fun. Trust building games are very important for relationships and this is a fun way to be romantic about it.

4. The Grapefruit Technique

Nobody in their right mind thinks this is sexy. But there are a number of things you can do in the bedroom that involve fruit and are romantic. Cherries are perfect for a classic tongue lock showdown. All you need to do is tie a knot with the stem of the cherry using your tongue. If that doesn’t get you in the romantic room you can use popsicles or throat lozenges. As we are all gay here, I am sure we all know how stimulating this can be and for which reasons.

5. Laser Tag Kiss Counter

This is a really great time. The idea is to play laser tag, but at the end of the game you check your score to see how many times you shot your partner. For each time you managed to hit him he owes you one kiss on the place of your choosing. This is a great way to start a fun date but end up smooching over cocktails or a glass of wine. Since you get to choose where he kisses, it makes the game even more romantic.

6. Love Shot Sing Along

Singing karaoke is always a favorite past time. Load up a karaoke app and grab a book of Celine Dion sing-alongs, he is getting whatever he wants for the coming days. The aim of this activity is to bond with your partner and have some drinks while singing songs to each other. The twist is that whenever you or your partner says the word love in a song you take a shot and then kiss each other. Karaoke can be very romantic when the song selection is adequate. Make karaoke the perfect date night!

7. Riddle Me Kiss

Yea, this is a game. However, it can be very romantic under the right circumstances. For this you need to buy your lover a small gift, a flower and another item of your choice. You can tell your lover you have something for them, but they need to close their eyes and guess what it is. The first time you give them clues until they guess it’s a flower. The second time you do this and give them clues about the small gift. The third time you give them clues but give them a big kiss! This is a great activity before dinner and movie nights.
