In a vibrant display of solidarity and hope, NYC Pride has announced its theme for 2024: “Reflect. Empower. Unite.” This triumphant declaration marks the organization’s 40th year of celebrating LGBTQIA+ pride and resilience, as well as a poignant homage to the 55th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. As the LGBTQIA+ community faces ongoing challenges and attacks, NYC Pride’s theme encapsulates a powerful call to action, urging reflection, empowerment, and unity in the face of adversity.

“The NYC Pride March is how we combat all the negativity; this is the celebration that brings people from every borough in the city and all parts of the world together, in joy, to share the accomplishments, talents and resilience of our community” said NYC Pride Executive Director Sandra Pérez. “The March is where we demonstrate the strength that comes with inclusion, diversity and acceptance,” Pérez continued.

The theme of “Reflect. Empower. Unite.” represents both a continuation and a bold evolution of NYC Pride’s legacy. It builds upon the organization’s four-decade-long history of advocacy, celebration, and community building, while also signaling a renewed commitment to inclusivity, activism, and resilience.
