St. John’s Pride

July 13 - July 20

Newfoundland and Labrador is the kind of place that stays with travelers long after they leave. St. John’s, the province’s capital, brings together colorful streets, coastal views, live music, local arts, dining, nightlife, and the warm sense of welcome the province is known for. Summer is an ideal time to explore the city, from historic downtown and George Street to Signal Hill, Cape Spear, coastal trails, boat tours, and the spontaneous conversations that make visitors feel like they have found new friends in an unfamiliar place.

St. John’s Pride brings that same community spirit to one of Canada’s most distinctive coastal cities. The festival celebrates LGBTQ visibility, advocacy, and connection through Pride programming, community events, and the annual Pride Parade. For 2026, St. John’s Pride takes place July 8 to 19, with the Pride Parade and Pride in the Park planned for Sunday, July 19. It is a chance for gay travelers to experience Newfoundland and Labrador’s hospitality while joining a Pride celebration rooted in joy, protest, and local community.
