Every fall, Palm Springs transforms into a dazzling showcase of love, activism, and celebration, and one of the brightest highlights is the annual Palm Springs Pride Honors Awards. This prestigious evening shines a spotlight on remarkable individuals and organizations who have gone above and beyond to strengthen and uplift the LGBTQ community. In 2025, the awards are more vital than ever, serving as a proud stand against rising challenges faced by queer people today.
At a time when political leaders attempt to roll back rights and sow division, the Pride Honors Awards provide an unapologetic reminder that progress cannot be silenced. They celebrate bold voices, daring activism, and unwavering support for equality, sending a message that visibility is power and solidarity is strength. Honoring these changemakers is not only a moment of recognition but also a call to continue the fight for freedom and dignity.
This year’s ceremony will take place at the Palm Springs Hilton on Thursday, October 16, promising an evening of inspiration, community, and unity. From drag icons and pastors to business leaders and grassroots organizers, the honorees represent the wide spectrum of people shaping today’s LGBTQ movement. Their contributions serve as fuel for resilience, hope, and determination in the face of adversity.

Recognizing Leadership In A Challenging Era
“In today’s political climate, where the rights and protections of LGBTQ+ people are facing unprecedented challenges, the act of publicly recognizing community members is more vital than ever. As administrations attempt to roll back protections and create a sense of fear and uncertainty, events like the Greater Palm Springs Pride Honors Awards serve as a powerful counter-narrative,” said Ron deHarte, President and CEO of Palm Springs Pride.
“These awards do more than simply acknowledge individual achievements. They send a clear and resounding message that the LGBTQ+ community and its allies are strong, visible, and united. By celebrating the hard work and dedication of leaders and activists, Palm Springs Pride helps to fortify a sense of community resilience and hope. It is a moment to not only honor the honorees but to remind everyone present that their efforts are seen, valued, and essential,” added deHarte.
Co-chaired by Coachella Valley Firebirds, One Valley Foundation, Hilton Palm Springs, and Desert Care Network, the event underscores how activism, culture, and local support can come together to create meaningful change.
