Grand Marshals Who Stole the Show

At the heart of every pride parade are the Grand Marshals, leaders who embody the spirit and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. They set the tone for the event, inspiring participants and spectators alike with their advocacy and achievements. This year, Phoenix Pride was honored to have three phenomenal individuals leading the march.

Governor Katie Hobbs

Governor Katie Hobbs, Arizona’s first female governor in over a decade, has been a trailblazer for progressive leadership since taking office. With a background in social work and public service, she’s consistently championed the rights of marginalized communities, including the LGBTQ+ population. Her presence as a Grand Marshal wasn’t just symbolic; it reaffirmed her commitment to equality and protecting the rights of all Arizonans. She energized the crowd, reminding everyone that allies in power can make a significant difference in the fight for justice.
