by | October 27, 2021 | Time 3 mins

We all know someone who has finished too early when they get into bed, and some of us might have experienced it ourselves. Premature ejaculation affects 30-40% of men experience at some point throughout their lives. It can be embarrassing, but at the same time, it is something that many people experience. It is not something you should be ashamed of because it can happen to anyone. Still, we all know that when we get into the groove and finish early, it can affect the situation and kill the mood. Luckily there are things you can do to prevent premature ejaculation, and some of them are free. In other instances, you can buy products to help sensitize your penis and make it last longer.

The Timing Reality: How Long Should It Take?

To help you understand how long it should take you to ejaculate, the Journal of Sexual Medicine did a study. They found that the average time from first contact to climax for someone who doesn’t prematurely ejaculate is 7.3 minutes. The time is far from the norm that we see in porn, and it normalizes not being able to continue like a jackrabbit for 30 minutes or more.

In comparison, men who prematurely ejaculate reach climax in under 2 minutes. Here we can see that premature ejaculation is about 1/3 of the time of a normal ejaculator. Remember that no matter your sexual preference, anal sex increases the likelihood of premature ejaculation because the average anus is tighter than the average vagina

Prevention Strategies: How to Last Longer

There are a few things. The first is called “diversionary thoughts.” That’s a big word for thinking about something not sexual to diminish the pleasure you get from sex. If you can reduce the pleasure you’re experiencing, then you will last longer.

Another tactic is called the “down-tempo.” Keep in mind when you are near to finishing. We all know that there is a point of no return when we know that we will explode. However, we also know that we can stop or slow down to keep that from happening. This tactic aims to help you be more aware of when you’re going to finish so you can prevent it. Perhaps you can try oral on your partner or stop masturbating before that point. It will keep you at the moment and stop you from finishing.

Exploring Solutions: Desensitizing Gels and More

The last option is to try a desensitizing gel. Gels that reduce the sensitivity of your penis are effective at reducing the sensation you feel in your private parts. They allow you to go longer and harder and prevent premature ejaculation. The gels are a great option for people who want uninterrupted sex during their sessions. You can get great delay sprays for gay sex from gays and gadgets. The sprays will delay your orgasm so you can keep from disappointing in the bedroom. They are straightforward to use, too. Spray the contents of the bottle onto your penis about 20 minutes before you’re going to have sex, and it will numb it.

Additional Tips and Considerations

There are other ways of stopping yourself from ejaculating, but many of them will interrupt your sex. One such tip is called the tip grip. The tactic involves pinching the head of your penis firmly just before the point of no return. You grip it firmly until the desire to ejaculate passes. The tactic is effective, but it doesn’t feel great, and you have to stop having sex.

No matter what option you choose, these tips will help you to stop ejaculating too soon. If you use many of these tactics, then you’re sure to see results that help you last longer.
