The Fabulous Arts Hotel in Downtown Charlottetown

The Arts Hotel is perfect for LGBTQ+ travellers. In addition to being the heart of the creative community, it’s just steps away from local restaurants, lively bars, and fun attractions. You can experience the best of Charlottetown while staying connected and comfortable.

The Arts Hotel is LGBTQ+ friendly. Queer travellers will feel safe and secure, and the staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming.

The Arts Hotel offers a variety of guest rooms providing options for all types of travellers – from standard king or double queen rooms to accessible rooms. If you’re travelling solo or with someone else, there is something here for everyone!

The property has been designed for modern travellers. A lot of the amenities that are in a typically hotel room that often go unused will not be found here. Modern travellers do not want or need unnecessary amenities; instead, it’s sleek and modern, down to basics, and completely functional – exactly what people want.

Because modern travellers are constantly connected with smartphones, tablets, and laptops, it makes things like televisions irrelevant and unnecessary; so you won’t find a television at The Arts Hotel, but you will find multiple charging ports at your bedside and high-speed WiFi.

For example, you will not find an iron and ironing board, clock radio, or kettle; because modern tech-toting travellers just don’t use them. Instead, The Arts Hotel provided 8 power-points at the bedside, so you can charge up all your devices. It’s pure logic and no-nonsense. However, if you do need a hair dryer, the friendly and helpful staff are happy to hook you up. They are also environmentally aware; so you’ll find dispensers in the shower, instead of individual, single-use bottles, and you’ll find products that are eco-friendly.

Amenities

Quick and healthy eats and drinks are important to today’s travellers. The Salvador Dali is the café located in the lobby of The Arts Hotel. They are serving up the essentials for a grab-and-go or fast sit-down meal.

The Salvador Dali also regularly hosts local musicians and live entertainment, making it a great place to hang out and chill during the evening. It’s where the local creative community comes to meet and support others and provides guests the opportunity to connect with the locals.

In addition, the Salvador Dali, there is a large live-performance venue, Trailside, located in the hotel. They have been incredibly supportive of the Charlottetown queer community. Trailside has been hosting a monthly drag brunch and regularly hosts the Haus of Zhoosh for drag performances.

The Arts Hotel understands the needs of modern travellers. Being connected and having unique experiences are important. Throughout the property there is high-speed WiFi to keep you connected.

Guests can also use the self-service, coin-op laundry room. It’s a huge benefit and a big reason to stay, especially for travellers who are taking an extended vacation touring Atlantic Canada.
